A few years ago, as I was dreaming up the names of my future kids, those are the names that I settled on. Lily Grace was Chinese, of course, and had cute little pigtails. I guess I honestly didn't really think about what little Caleb would look like.
It's amazing how much God cares about the details in our life. In hindsight, I guess God put the name Caleb on my heart about the time he was born.
Last week, I opened my email to find a file from Love Without Boundaries on Ethan. I opened the file to find 2 years of photos and monthly reports listed under the name Caleb.
God had laid his name on my heart long before I ever knew he existed. What a precious gift.
For those wondering, we chose the name Ethan because of the special meaning it had in the Bible. Ethan, a musician in King David's court, wrote Psalm 89 which is about God's faithfulness. The name just seems to fit.
However, I will always know that God put a little Caleb on my heart....
