I lied. The last post wasn't our last! We are in the Tokyo airport with free wifi, so we thought we'd do a top ten list!
Top Ten Reasons We Are Happy To Be Going Home
10. Less humidity. Asia makes North Carolina feel like the dry Arizona desert.
9. Air conditioning. (Refer to #1.) There is a special place in heaven for the person who invented A/C.
8. Walmart...in English! I will finally be able to read all of the packaging again.
7. Food. It was time to go home when fried rice and egg rolls looked delicious for breakfast.
6. Ordering at restaurants. No more pointing at pictures and doing charades....and hoping your food doesn't have eyeballs. And understanding....well, everything. Conversations, sales persons, billboards, shop signs, tv shows, cab drivers....the list goes on and on.
5. Ice. Especially with Coke!
4. Brushing teeth with tap water. Need I say more?
3. The Bus. I cannot wait to be able to drive myself to the store instead of riding a hot bus (see #2) or walking 5 miles uphill both ways with a stroller full of stuff and carrying a 30 lb baby.
2. Pedestrian "right away". No more worrying if you are going to be hit by a bicycle, moped, car, bus, motorcycle, or giant 10 foot tall cart filled with strange goods being driven by a bike.
1. Family and Friends. We can't wait to see you and Ethan can't wait to meet you!
