Gotcha!

Today is Gotcha Day for Ethan! The director of his orphanage brought him to our hotel room at 9:30 this morning. He has shed a lot of tears today, but we have seen some smiles, too.

The director was such a kind and loving woman. She was able to tell us that Ethan actually has lived in 3 foster homes, rather than at the orphanage. They gave us a whole photo album of his life....precious pictures of his childhood for us and memories for him to have later. What a treasure! We also got an information packet from Love Without Boundaries that they have worked in his town and also have photos and information for us.

This is what we have learned about the little guy so far:
He hates raisins. As in, he spits them at you.
He loves goldfish, noodles, and rice.
He LOVES milk. That is his security...he keeps a box in his hand at all times. (Their milk is in a juice box container with a straw, no refrigeration needed.)
He is an awesome sleeper. Noise, light, etc, don't phase him at all.
Smiles come when you crash toy cars into the stacking cups or when you go outside for a walk!

Pray for his tender heart. He is grieving so much for his foster family. They took wonderful care of him and taught him so many things. He loves to talk (if only we understood him!) and he loves to "clean up" by putting everything he can find in a bag.

We will be up early to go sign all of the official paperwork! More to come soon!
