People are dropping like flies...life is getting a little crazy...
Russ has sung at THREE funerals this week for church members. My uncle died unexpectedly over the weekend in Oklahoma. In addition, our air conditioning decided to go out on Sunday (thank goodness for a kind church member who fixed it), Russ's dad has been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer (the doctors are saying they're pretty sure that's what it is, they just can't prove it with the "inconclusive" biopsy...so here come more tests), and Russ did something to his back causing him to be somewhat unable to move or walk on Monday evening. (His back is getting better day by day).
In the midst of all of this, we're taking a Wednesday night Bible Study at church called 'Couples Communication'. Russ has to leave a few minutes early each week to direct choir, so I take down the notes that he misses and try to fill him in. Except I remembered yesterday morning that I had forgotten to COMMUNICATE to him that we had homework. Oops....
So here are the verses that came to mind this morning:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:4-7
